Privacy policy
What we collect about you, why we collect it, who sees it, and how to get it removed.
This is draft wording and is not yet legally binding. It will be replaced before launch.
1.What we collect
When you fill in a counselling form or create an account we collect your name, phone number, email address, city and the course you are interested in.
When you browse, we record which colleges, courses and articles you opened, so that we can show you a sensible shortlist and understand which pages are useful. This is tied to your account only when you are signed in.
If you sign in through Google or Truecaller, we receive from them only what you approve — an email address, or a verified phone number.
2.Why we collect it
To answer you. A counselling request is a request for a call, and we cannot make it without a number.
To make the site more useful — recommending colleges that match what you have been reading, and remembering what you saved.
To keep the service working: spotting abuse, fixing errors and understanding which pages are read.
3.Who we share it with
Counsellors working for us, so that somebody can call you back.
Colleges, ONLY where you have asked us to apply or to send your details to that college. We do not sell your details, and we do not pass them to a college you have not asked about.
Service providers who run our infrastructure — hosting, email delivery, analytics — under contracts that limit them to working on our behalf.
4.How long we keep it
Account details for as long as your account exists, and for a short period afterwards so that a deletion can be reversed if it was a mistake.
Counselling enquiries for as long as we need them to serve the admission cycle they belong to.
5.Your choices
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.
You can stop marketing messages at any time; we will still send the operational ones that a request of yours requires, such as confirming a call.

6.Cookies
We use cookies to keep you signed in, to remember preferences, and to measure how the site is used. Blocking them in your browser will stop you staying signed in but will not stop you reading anything.
7.Children
This site is meant for students choosing higher education. We do not knowingly collect details from a child under 13; if we learn that we have, we delete them.
8.Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change, and the date above will say when. A significant change will be announced on the site.
